This is my first day at the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation in London .
I am sooo excited!!! I am seconded out from John Lewis for one day a week for the next 6 months.
The reason I chose to work for this charity is because I live with prostate cancer also.
I live with my Partner Tom and our 4 year old son Luca.
Tom, was diagnosed with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer which at that time had already moved to the bones just over 2 years ago. Tom has been treated by the Marsdens in Sutton throughout this time with Prof Dearneley.
He is stable at the moment and his PSA has slightly dropped down to 20 ( pretty good for him)
He is taking stilbisterol which seems to be controling things well and even his pain relief with Zomorph is working great. Would be great to know if someone else is the same situation as us.
